HAPPY HOUR: MODELLO
SMOOTHEST TAKE OFF IN WAKEBOARDING
Benvenuto to the aquatic playground of our sport’s most well rounded and stylish rider, Massi, and his first aquatic playground riding device. Coming all the way from the shores of Lake Como Italy, Massi proudly introduces his new brainchild – the Happy Hour. Massi was looking for a takeoff of epic speed proportions. The only continuous rocker board in our boat board range offers the smoothest and most consistent take off within our range. A shape designed to take your tricks further out in the flats with softer landings – and unlike most continuous rocker boards, this shape will lock in without having a steep edge angle into the wake. The result is a board that easily points into a turn with solid and effective edge hold that doesn’t require the line tension of a board that you have to bury the rail on to set an edge.
Shaun Murray and Greg Nelson agree that a solid foundation greatly increases a rider’s learning curve. Hyperlite introduces the Baseline, shaped specifically for creating that base and solid foundation. The Baseline has wider overall profile built atop a continuous rocker, delivering a smooth carving board that gets more pop off the wake due to its increased surface area.
A board with the rare trait of adapting to your style of riding. Now you can ride without stereotypes with this legendary all-purpose shape, designed for smooth/low maintenance turns to wide open high speed cuts. With our second generation District, you can feel even more confident this unique shape is ready to jump on the gas or hit the brake when you are.
“Having the shape I’ve always hoped for is amazing and offering it with the Biolite 3 Core is pretty cool too.” -Noah Flegel
The RIOT project began as Noah was looking for a shape that would transition quickly from edge to edge, build speed on approach and release cleanly from the wake to initiate every trick. The Variable Beveled Edge sharpens over the last 10 inches providing the speed and clean release. Between the inserts the bevel is enhanced delivering the forgiveness needed when learning new tricks. The Riot incorporates the thinnest profile ever seen for hitting the wake and swing weight is truly minimal. This profile also provides a lively feel as the board has some flex creating massive pop. The Dual Concave under foot assists with soft landings transitioning to a Single Concave exiting the tip and tail accomplishing the clean release. The Riot Bio gains its lively feel with Hyperlite CarboNetX-X Inlay and Bio 3 Core construction.
Freeriding has never looked so good; channel your inner Dog Dayz with the Vagabond.
Trever Maur has carried on the west coast ride style but his first ever pro model, the Vagabond, was shaped from his riding experiences across the globe. Trever demanded a deck that would carve freely helping him link tricks and dig deep while slashing the wake, hello Continuous Rocker. He also likes to build his edge gradually as he nears the wake. The Vagabond is the first board to feature Fell Length Curved Flow Channels (CFC). The CFC’s pull the board’s primary edge deeper into the water on approach to the wake maximizing a rider’s pop. Between the inserts the Vagabond’s rail is shaped with a 8 degree bevel for forgiveness on wakes and on rails but near the board’s tip and tail the rail shape sharpens increasing edge hold. Exiting the Vagabond is a single Concave Gate adding a bit of boost to the board’s pop and optimizing tracking.
Few Wakeboarders work as hard as Rusty Malinoski and the passion he has for the sport has been poured into his new shape, the Kruz. Available with Hyperlite’s exclusive BIO 3 Core, Rusty and shaping expert Aaron Stumpf have shortened the overall length but added surface area with the board’s width.
